Dr. AlJishy was born in Qatif, Saudi Arabia, and is one of the most distinctive intellectuals and social activists in Qatif region. She got her doctorate degree in Medicine from King Saud University in Riyadh, and received the Arabian and Jordanian fellowship certificates in Pediatrics. She, also, has a diploma in Children's Diseases from Ireland specialized in intensive care of newborn babies. AlJishy is a Pediatrics Consultant in Childbirth and Children's Hospital in Dammam, and the head of Newborn Babies Intensive Care Department in the same hospital.
She is a member in various societies such as Qatif Charitable Society and the Society of Psychological and Moral Support of Sickle Cell Disease. Moreover, she is the coordinator of Disabled Children Care Program at Qatif Charitable Society.
Dr. Nihad AlJishy is active in social affairs; especially women and children affairs. She delivers educative and informative lectures in the same field of her specialization, and always participates in educative programs in Qatif region.
AlJishy was appointed as a part-time consultant in the Saudi Shura Council, and represented the region in National Dialogue program in Saudi Arabia. She is, also, interested in literature especially poetry and novels.
