Dr. Mohammad AlKhunaizi (b. 1945) was born in Qatif, in Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. In 1973, he attained his bachelor degree in Geography from King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and completed his Master degree in Educational administration from the University of Oklahoma, Norman, United States. He holds a doctorate degree in Educational Administration from the University of Northern Colorado, in the United States, 1985.
He worked as an Assistant Professor at the Educational Administration in College of Teachers in Riyadh. Since 1985 till 1996, AlKhunaizi was the Director-General of Planning Department at the Ministry of Education. From 1999 to 2001, he was the Director of Researches Center at Teachers College in Riyadh, and since March 2009 he became a member in the Saudi Shura Council.
Dr. AlKhunaizi is a council member in the Commission of Human Rights, a member in Teaching and Researches Commission and a member in the Committee of Political and Civil Rights. He is, also, a member in the Committee of Culture and Information Affairs, a member in the Saudi Society for Psychology and Education and a member in the National Family Safety Program.
Dr. Mohammad AlKhunaizi attends international human rights conferences and delivers lectures in colleges and universities over the significance of spreading human rights education. He has a number of researches in different educational fields; "A Research over the Necessity of a School Feeding Program in Saudi Arabia", "The Development of Examinations in Saudi Arabia" and "Responses of Schools' Principals towards the Training Program for Schools Principals".
